Yes, I have a rather excited title for this review but it is well deserved. This camera is astonishing!
If you are looking for a camera then you are probably already thinking of the Flip HD, but don't. This is way better. I have had experience of the Flip HD and while that is an excellent choice, this one I think produces better results and is priced around the same.
There are many options to choose from in the easy-to-navigate menus. Automatic flash, camera resolution, face chasing, light settings....etc etc. The quality of the films produced on this are amazing. 1920x1080 images at 60fps is superb for a little device likes this. And, whats more is that you can take a still photo whilst you are filming. Ok, the still photo is only taken at 2 mega pixels but it is still a very useful feature. The camera images are also excellent. There are options in the menu to take the resolution up to 12 mega pixels, rather than the 10 it is advertised at. Even so, if you stick with 10, or even the widescreen option, the images reproduction is excellent.

After just over a week of use feeling very happy with this ultra-compact video recorder/camera. Extremely comfortable and light to hold, easy to use (press one button to video or the other to take a picture), both HD video and picture quality good (using Class 6+ SDHC - as recommended by Sanyo for HD) and transferring to laptop is a doddle. The price of this from Amazon is excellent at the moment - I checked the price today online and found a well known shopping channel selling this model not far off two hundred pounds inc pp - so a true bargain.
